Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree extending monthly payments to military children who are captured or missing. The relevant document was published on May 30 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Amendments were made to paragraph 3 of the decree dated December 26, 2024 "On monthly social benefits for children of certain categories of military personnel." Previously, funds were provided only within six months from the date of the disappearance, indicated in the order of the military commander. According to the new decree, the payment is now due for the entire period of the fighter's unknown absence.
The document entered into force on the day of its signing.
On December 26, 2024, Putin signed a decree on monthly payments to military children who were captured or went missing, including during their participation in a special military operation. It was specified that the amount of money would be the minimum subsistence level for children, set in their region of residence.
