The expert predicted a decrease in rental prices in the summer

The cost of renting a home may decrease slightly during the summer months. This was told to Izvestia on May 30 by Yana Siverskaya, founder of the Brand Agent Real estate center.

"We haven't noticed a sharp jump right now. Yes, the rental price increased from the middle of 2024 until the beginning of 2025. This was facilitated by high mortgage rates," the specialist explained.

According to her, not only did the expected price increase not occur before the summer season, but there was also a slight decrease in prices for some of the offers.

"This is due to seasonality: before the summer, many students go home to other cities, but return only for the academic year. In addition, there are more offers on the market. Many people who bought apartments with government support and family mortgages a couple of years ago have reached the deadline for putting houses into operation, and these facilities have entered the rental market," the expert noted.

Thus, tenants can expect more favorable conditions in summer than in spring.
