- Draft amendments have been submitted to the State Duma on the creation of a multifunctional digital service in the Russian Federation

A draft amendment on the creation of a national multifunctional digital service in the Russian Federation has been submitted to the State Duma, as announced on May 30 by its initiator, the head of the lower house Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky.
The bill provides for the further development of domestic digital services (government, financial, commercial) and the integration of their functions in one application with the simplest possible use.
"After careful consideration with colleagues from the government, I have prepared and submitted proposals to amend the legislation. They will allow the creation of a new national multifunctional service on the territory of the Russian Federation," the parliamentarian said in a video message on his Telegram channel.
Boyarsky noted that the new service will have many interesting and unique features. Thanks to it, a secure environment will be created for communication, phone calls and at the same time receiving government and commercial services. In addition, it will contain a digital ID, an electronic identity card that contains educational documents, a passport, rights, and documents for benefits, as well as a student ID or school card that you will not need to carry with you.
"For example, using this application, you can confirm your age at the supermarket checkout or even check into a hotel without having to show paper documents. This is only a small part of what the functionality of this new national service will have," Boyarsky explained.
The head of the State Duma Committee on Property Issues, a member of the Board of Directors of Russian Post, Sergey Gavrilov, reported on May 1 that a bill on the integration of Russian Post with digital services, including Public Services, would be submitted to the State Duma during May-June. He noted that the bill will provide more comfortable conditions for managing deliveries remotely, which is especially important for residents of sparsely populated or hard-to-reach places and for senders to such points.
