The Ukrainian delegation is ready to hold the next meeting with Russia to resolve the conflict, subject to the provision of a memorandum. This was announced on May 30 by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, Andrei Ermak.

"Ukraine is ready to be at the next meeting, but we want to have a constructive discussion. This means that it is important to get a Russian project," he is quoted as saying on the website of the president's office.

Ermak noted that four days are enough to prepare and send the documents. At the same time, it is specified that in order to continue negotiations, Ukraine must receive a memorandum from Russia before they begin, as well as know the composition of the Russian delegation.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on May 28 that the second round of talks between Russia and Ukraine would be held in Istanbul on June 2. He expressed the hope that all parties interested in the success of the peace process would provide support for a new round of discussions.

On the same day, the head of the Russian delegation, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Medinsky, invited the Ukrainian Minister of Defense and the head of the Ukrainian delegation to negotiations with Russia, Rustem Umerov, to meet to exchange memoranda with a position on a cease-fire and conflict resolution. According to Medinsky, Russia is ready for a "meaningful" discussion of an agreement to end the Ukrainian conflict. Umerov said that Ukraine had submitted its draft memorandum to Russia and was waiting for the Russian version of the document.
