Central University and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) are launching a joint bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence and a scientific and educational center.

According to the Central University, the program will include an in-depth study of the mathematical foundations of AI and the development of practical skills in creating and using modern AI technologies to solve applied problems and in scientific research.

During the four-year studies, students will work in Skoltech laboratories under the guidance of professors and leading specialists of the institute, as well as take courses, for example, on generative models, in English. In addition, students will have access to computing resources as part of their research work to train models and conduct experiments.

Enrollment for the program is already open.

The tasks of the joint scientific and educational center include launching new programs under the guidance of world-renowned professors, forming research groups with the participation of students, and conducting joint scientific research in the field of AI.

In the future, the partnership plans to organize additional educational formats — intensive courses, summer schools, online courses and research tracks.

Evgeny Ivashkevich, Rector of the Central University, noted that the partnership with Skoltech is "a strategic step in a new scientific paradigm where AI redefines traditional approaches to research." "We are creating a platform where dreams turn into breakthroughs: joint programs, research that can make a real contribution to science and industrial projects, diplomas led by Skoltech specialists and access to advanced knowledge in the field of AI," Ivashkevich added.

Alexander Kuleshov, Rector of Skoltech, emphasized that the goal of universities is "to raise those who are able to make breakthroughs in the context of new technological and geopolitical realities." "This partnership is not just about education, it is an investment in the future of Russian science," he added.
