It is impractical to use expensive jewelry for a prom look. For such a celebration, it is better to choose accessories from the middle segment. Ekaterina Fomina, stylist of 585*GOLDEN, told Izvestia about this on June 1.

"Jewelry, like the whole image, is better to choose an average price category. It will be unpleasant to lose a diamond ring or accidentally tear a white gold necklace. It is worth considering more budget analogues — products with cubic zirconia, moissanite or white topaz. They will shine no less than diamonds, but in case of force majeure, the loss will not be so significant," she explained.

For example, cubic zirconia jewelry with cubic zirconia is one of the most popular today. With the development of jewelry production technologies and due to the unique features of the cut, jewelry with such stones is isolated into separate collections, because they are as close as possible to diamonds in luster and appearance.

"First of all, pay attention to your color type. For girls with a light appearance of low contrast, it is better to look at cool shades: silver, complemented by transparent crystals or stones of muted tones — aquamarine, rose quartz, Sky topaz," the expert recommended.

Owners of bright contrasting appearance, according to her, should, on the contrary, give preference to lemon and rose gold with accent stones — black onyx, ruby, garnet. The specialist clarified: do not forget about the shape of the face and the type of figure.

So that the neck seems longer, you can choose long earrings. And to make the fingers visually thinner — a ring with an oblong-cut stone: oval, emerald, radiant.

"It's very important to look at the whole image. It may be that the dress and necklace look great separately, but they just don't go together. For example, a long pendant is not suitable for an oval neckline, it is better to choose a short "princess" chain or even a choker. Also, evaluate the style of jewelry and outfit. Classic basic products will suit any image, but if you look towards unusual items of clothing, then choose the appropriate jewelry," Fomina pointed out.

The final rule, which definitely should not be missed, is not to overdo it with jewelry. Often, in an attempt to stand out, girls decide to wear several rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings from different sets at once. And it really helps to draw attention to yourself, however, unfortunately, at the expense of visual dissonance. In order not to worry about the appropriateness of jewelry, the easiest way is to choose a jewelry set in the same style.
