Saiga antelopes from Kazakhstan migrated to the Saratov region en masse

There is a massive migration of saigas from Kazakhstan in the Saratov region. This was announced on May 30 by the governor of the region Roman Busargin.
"The situation with the migration of saigas from Kazakhstan to the territory of the Saratov region was discussed with the relevant deputy chairman. All services and specialists are on the ground in the border areas, conducting appropriate monitoring and taking all necessary measures," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The governor also stressed that the Ministry of Agriculture and the government's financial unit were tasked with promptly assessing the damage that could be caused to local farmers due to the presence of saigas. The authorities plan to develop additional support measures for agricultural producers in order to minimize possible negative consequences.
On May 13, the Russian government reconfirmed the list of animals that are prohibited from being kept at home. The new list includes about 121 species, including individual species of snakes, including cobras and pythons, certain species of turtles, predators and big cats, as well as a number of arachnids (karakurts, black widows and others) and some birds.
