NATO may stop expanding to Russia's borders. This was stated on May 29 by the US Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, on ABC News.

According to the special envoy, the relevant decision can be made by US President Donald Trump.

"We say, 'OK, we can stop NATO's expansion to your borders.' For Russians, this is a security issue," Kellogg said.

Kellogg also said that Russia's concern about the expansion of the alliance to the east "is natural."

Earlier, on May 23, Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm Krzysztof Bosak pointed out that there were no plans to invite Ukraine to join NATO.
