The contractor will be tried for injuring a child in a park in Murmansk.

In Murmansk, a criminal case has been brought to court over the fall of a child on a playground in Kola Park. The contractor is accused of providing services that do not meet safety requirements.

The incident occurred in June 2024. According to the Bi-port news agency, the child fell from a height of 1.8 m. His injuries are regarded as serious harm to health, life-threatening.

An employee of the Fortuna contracting company was responsible for maintaining the site in proper form. Investigators note that the accused was supposed to install a net on the second tier of the playground, but there was no fence. The criminal case was initiated under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Performance of works and provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers").

The case materials have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits. In addition, the prosecutor's office filed a claim against the contractor for compensation in the amount of 900 thousand rubles in favor of the victim.
