A case was opened in the Arkhangelsk region after the deaths of four people in a fire.

A criminal case was opened into the deaths of two children and two women in a fire in a multi-storey building in Novodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region. This was announced on May 30 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region (SU IC RF).

"The regional investigative bodies of the TFR have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to four persons"), — stated in the Telegram channel of the department.

An investigative team is working at the scene of the incident, and the necessary investigative actions are being carried out. One of the versions of the fire is related to a malfunction of the electrical equipment in the apartment. The cause of the fire is being determined together with specialists from the fire Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
