Five organizers of underground casinos were convicted in Blagoveshchensk

The Blagoveshchensk City Court has sentenced five local residents in the case of illegal organization and conduct of gambling. This was announced on May 30 by the court's press service.
"From October 2023 to January 2024, a group appeared in Blagoveshchensk that opened three underground casinos. <...> There were more than 40 computers with access to the illegal Superomatic system and 11 slot machines in the halls," the court wrote on its Telegram channel.
To hide their activities, they used encrypted messengers, installed cameras and intercoms. The income was divided between the participants: from 2 thousand rubles per shift to 100 thousand per month. In January 2024, the activity was suppressed by law enforcement agencies. During the searches, 53 system units, 11 slot machines, video surveillance equipment and more than 150 thousand rubles were seized.
The participants received up to three years of probation and fines of up to 600 thousand rubles. In addition, some of the property and funds were confiscated for State revenue.
On May 22, it was reported that in Yakutia, law enforcement officers eliminated a network of underground casinos, and 18 people were detained. Two local residents who had previous convictions organized an illegal casino in correctional colonies, as well as in several districts and Yakutsk. In addition, members of the community used strict measures, and in case of non-payment of debts resorted to violence. This is how the defendants extorted money from the players.
