At least 47 household plots flooded in Irkutsk region

In the Irkutsk region, due to the sudden melting of snow in the upper reaches of the Baikal range, at least 47 household plots were flooded, residential buildings were not damaged. This was announced on Friday, May 30, by the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"At the moment, 47 household plots have been flooded, there are no flooded residential buildings. Two temporary accommodation facilities with a capacity of up to 220 people are ready," the department said in a message on its Telegram channel.

The operational interdepartmental grouping of forces includes 21 people and nine pieces of equipment, the Ministry of Emergency Situations specified.

Earlier, on March 18, in the city of Asha, Chelyabinsk region, the water level on the Sim River rose sharply, as a result of which a local emergency regime was introduced. Due to the sudden congestion in the northern part of the Sim River, flooding occurred in two districts of the city.
