The US Court of Appeals has decided to temporarily block the ruling of the Court of International Trade on the suspension of large-scale trade duties on imports imposed by order of the President of the United States Donald Trump. This was reported by Bloomberg on May 29.

"A federal appeals court has temporarily suspended President Donald Trump's massive ruling against global tariffs," the publication said.

At the same time, the new decree does not contain any specific definitions and "creates new uncertainty about the fate of Trump's tariffs."

"The Court of Appeal for the Federal District did not say how long its order would be in effect, but provided a briefing schedule that would last until June 9," Bloomberg reports.

Earlier that day, the US federal court ruled to block Trump's imposition of trade duties, arguing it was an abuse of authority. Trump was guided by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). According to the American president, if the decision is made, it will "completely destroy presidential power."
