Kim Jong-un holds the eighth meeting of the DPRK military commission


North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un held the eighth expanded meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of the country, where they discussed the creation of a solid system of control over the army and its discipline. This was reported on Friday, May 30, by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The commission also discussed the construction of important military and political facilities and the appointment of six new corps-level unit commanders, heads of artillery and security departments, as well as a number of political commissars.
"At the expanded meeting, decisions were discussed and made on military measures aimed at firmly maintaining strategic and tactical superiority in all aspects based on a detailed analysis of the national security situation," the KCNA added.
Earlier, KCNA reported that on April 29, Kim Jong-un visited a team of workers involved in the creation of a new destroyer for the country's navy, the Choe Hyun. It is specified that the North Korean leader emphasized the trust that the ruling party has in the staff of the Nampho Shipyard.
