The stormtroopers of the fifth combined arms army of the Vostok group of forces revealed the details of the liberation of the village of Zelenoe Pole in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The relevant footage will be published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday, May 30.

"It was a little more difficult [to liberate] the Green Field because of the terrain. <...> Training took place at the training ground, maps were studied, communications were checked, and tactics were updated. We waited for the order and started working. Our group was lucky because the weather conditions were bad. It was raining. There were few birds," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Murza.

So, before performing a combat mission, spotters and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) identified key points of resistance, after which the gunners delivered precise strikes on the positions of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"My group and I successfully passed through all the "postcards", sawmills, clung to a house in a Green Field and, accordingly, from there we began work on relaying information and interacted with neighboring units, other groups and systematically liberated the village," Murza continued.

Many Ukrainian soldiers abandoned their positions, avoiding direct combat, while abandoning fortifications, equipment and ammunition.

"Now the difficulty is coming — they have more <...> UAVs. A lot is mined. You need to get to the point more. And that's the whole obstacle. Contact combat is basically when you get there, they all run," said the shooter with the call sign Warrior.

According to the Russian serviceman, the Ukrainian Armed Forces often resist only from a distance, in particular with FPV drones and long-range guns.

Earlier, on May 28, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Russian military personnel had liberated the settlements of Zelenoe Pole in the DPR and Konstantinovka in the Sumy region. The ministry noted that the liberation of settlements occurred due to the actions of units of the North and East groups of troops.
