Crews of howitzers 2A36 "Hyacinth-B" of the airborne artillery unit of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed a gun and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during combat missions The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kakhovka area in the Kherson region. This was announced on May 30 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"During the combat work of the airborne artillery on the right bank of the Dnieper, artillery crews of towed Hyacinth-B guns of the Airborne artillery unit destroyed an artillery piece of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disguised in a forest belt and an enemy UAV control point," the ministry said.

The shooting was conducted from closed firing positions at a distance of more than 20 km.

It is specified that the targets were discovered during aerial reconnaissance from a drone. The AFU drone operators took refuge in the basement of a dilapidated hangar, from which they launched various types of UAVs in villages on the left bank of the Kherson region, and also monitored Russian units.

"After completing the combat work, the paratroopers camouflaged the guns and promptly left the firing position, taking refuge in pre-prepared defensive structures," the Defense Ministry said.
