In Yakutia, forest fires with an area of more than 2.7 thousand hectares were recorded

There are 13 forest fires in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the total area of ignition is over 2.7 thousand hectares. This was announced on May 30 by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Sakha Republic in its Telegram channel.

"As of the beginning of the day on May 30, 2025, there are 13 forest fires on an area of 2,763 hectares in the Verkhoyansky, Vilyuysky, Momsky, Neryungrinsky, Tomponsky, Ust-Aldansky, Ust-Maysky and Eveno-Bytantaysky districts," the report said.

352 people and 29 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing fires. A special fire protection regime has been established in several districts of the region.

"A special fire protection regime is in effect in the territories of Verkhoyansk, Ust-Aldan districts, Zhatai and Yakutsk. A municipal-level emergency regime has been established in the Ust—Aldan district due to a forest fire near the village of Borogontsy," the ministry said.

Earlier, on May 29, a fire broke out in the Lipetsk region on the territory of the reserve. The fire area was 40 hectares. 14 rescuers and five pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
