An earthquake of up to three magnitude was recorded in the Kuril Islands


In the waters of the Pacific Ocean, an earthquake was recorded, which was felt with a magnitude of up to three points, on the territory of the Kuril and South Kuril regions. This was announced on Friday, May 30, by the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"The earthquake was felt up to three points on the territory of the Kuril and South Kuril regions in four settlements: the villages of Krabozavodsky, Malokurilsky, Gorny and the urban-type settlement of Yuzhno-Kurilsk," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage, and no tsunami danger has been announced.
Earlier, on May 25, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in the Kosh-Achagsky district of the Altai Republic. An earthquake was recorded at 5:35 a.m. Moscow time, 12 km southeast of the village of Kyzyl-Tash. The seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km.
