In Canada, two people were injured as a result of a bear attack.

In the Canadian city of Timmins, Ontario, two people were injured in a bear attack. This was announced on Thursday, May 29, by the CTV News channel.

According to the TV channel, it could have been a black bear who was trying to protect the cub.

"A local resident let his dog out into the street when he noticed a bear cub in a nearby tree. When he tried to return the dog [to the house], the resident was attacked by a mother bear. A family member who tried to help was also injured," the newspaper quoted a police press release.

It is specified that at the moment the lives of the victims are not in danger.

Information about the incident was passed to the Ministry of Natural Resources for further investigation.

Earlier, on May 6, in Florida, a bear killed a local resident and his dog. Police officers are trying to find the bear using a drone. Special traps were also set up in the immediate vicinity of the attack site.
