In the United States, at least 1,2 thousand employees of the Civil Aviation Administration (FAA) resigned of their own accord due to the increased frequency of plane crashes. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on Thursday, May 29.

According to the WSJ, FAA employees came to the decision to dismiss due to the new requirements of American President Donald Trump, according to which all department employees must be present in person.

Mass dismissals have affected all skill levels, including leadership positions, the newspaper writes. It is noted that about 3% of the staff decided to leave the department.

On April 15, the WP newspaper reported that more than 22,000 employees of the US tax service agreed to resign at Trump's request. Employees who accept the deal will be placed on paid administrative leave until September, and then will leave their federal positions.

On March 29, the media reported on the dismissals of Yale and Harvard employees under pressure from Trump. Higher education institutions are forced to say goodbye to employees because of the government's demand to combat anti-Semitism. Otherwise, they are threatened with being deprived of federal funding. Also earlier, the Harvard School of Public Health suspended its partnership with Birzeit University in the West Bank.
