Joshua Livo was named the KHL's Most Valuable Regular Season Player of the Season

On May 29, forward of the Salavat Yulaev hockey club Joshua Livo became the most valuable player of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season in the 2024/25 season.

The player has played 15 matches in the Gagarin Cup playoffs. During them, he scored the same number of points (13+2).

"Last season, Livo scored 80 (49+31) points in 62 matches, becoming the top scorer and sniper of the regular season. He broke Sergey Mozyakin's record for the number of goals in one regular season," informs Sport-Express.

On May 29, Igor Nikitin, the head coach of the Yaroslavl hockey club Lokomotiv, was named the best coach of the 2024/25 season. It is reported that the award was presented to Nikitin by three-time Gagarin Cup winner Sergey Fedorov.

HC Lokomotiv defeated Chelyabinsk Traktor in the fifth match of the KHL final playoff series on the same day and won the Gagarin Cup for the first time in history.
