Three men were detained for committing serious crimes in Rostov-on-Don.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Rostov region has opened a criminal case against three residents of Rostov-on-Don who committed serious crimes. This was announced on May 29 by the UK press service in the Telegram channel.
"According to the investigation, in 2022, the 62-year-old suspect joined an organization that is recognized as extremist and its activities are prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation. While participating in the organization's activities, he held meetings of parishioners, where he preached a negative attitude towards representatives of other religious denominations and movements," the department said.
Also, the suspect and his friends, while in the city, grossly violating public order and shouting profanity, beat a local resident, causing him bodily injuries.
Currently, all the defendants in the case have been detained. The issue of choosing a preventive measure against them is being considered, the Investigative Committee noted.
"Currently, a set of investigative actions is being carried out in the criminal case aimed at establishing the circumstances of the crimes committed," the department concluded.
Earlier, on May 28, 11 foreigners were stripped of their Russian citizenship in the Krasnoyarsk Territory for committing serious crimes. So, eight of them were deprived of their passports and received sentences for crimes related to the storage and distribution of prohibited substances on a large scale. Another man was convicted of attempted rape of a minor, and was sentenced to four years in prison.
