Russians were named popular summer destinations for traveling with children

Families with children will travel to St. Petersburg (20%), Moscow (12%) and Sochi (11%) within Russia in the summer, while Abkhazia (37%), Belarus (28%) and Italy (7%) are the leaders among foreign destinations. Such data was obtained by analysts of the Tutu and VTB travel services, and Izvestia reviewed them on May 29.

Families with children will also spend their summer holidays in Adler (4%), Kazan and Kaliningrad (3% each). 2% of families will go to Gelendzhik, Sirius, Yeysk and Vladivostok.

54% of bookings in Russia and 42% abroad are made in hotels without stars. At the same time, parents are more likely to pay attention to the smoking ban (34%), family rooms (29%) and the availability of washing machines and dryers (26%). The proximity of the cafe scored 23% of the votes, 18% — a playground, 8% — sound insulation, 7% — a game room.

"We see an increase in demand for hotels with a "children's" infrastructure — a playground, a menu, a play area, etc. Some booking services are already adding a "child-friendly" label to their accommodation options to make it easier for parents to find suitable accommodation. The average cost of a night for a family of three this summer will be 7 thousand rubles," said Yuri Vyushin, Director of hotel market Development at the Tutu travel service.

He added that it would be possible to save money in Mordovia: in the republic, the average price of one night for a family of three decreased by 55% compared to last year. This is followed by the Kamchatka Territory (-48%), the Tyumen and Kirov Regions (-36%), and the Smolensk Region (-31%).

VTB said that children actively use bank cards when traveling. The most popular spending among children is shopping in supermarkets, fast food, orders on marketplaces and visits to cafes and restaurants.

On May 29, Izvestia got acquainted with the results of a study by the National Tour Operator Alean on prices for family tourists in the regions of the Russian Federation. The cheapest places to relax by the sea are in Crimea, Dagestan and Yeysk. On lakes — in Bashkiria, the Chelyabinsk region, and the Altai Territory. In the mountains — in Arkhyz, Elbrus region, Altai Mountains.
