The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned about a new fraud scheme with fake websites of the department

Fraudsters forged the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to steal information about Russian citizens. This resource has already been sent for blocking, but there is a possibility that similar ones may appear. On May 29, the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was informed about this.

"An example of a phishing resource that mimics the official website of the Russian Interior Ministry. The forgery is intended to obtain personal data and use it in multicomponent fraudulent schemes," the department's Telegram channel says.

In the screenshot published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, you can see that there is a "request acceptance" service on the resource, in which the applicant must provide personal data. Law enforcement agencies also reminded how important it is to carefully check the site for errors in order to recognize a fake.
