Russia has something to respond to the Western states for the lifting of restrictions on the range of weapons strikes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated on May 29 by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu at a press conference following the 13th meeting of high-level representatives in charge of security issues.

"As for our reaction to this moment, I can say that, believe me, we have something to shoot. I won't continue, but we have something to shoot in response to the action," Shoigu said.

However, he did not specify which specific restrictions Russia could lift.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on May 28, during a press conference following a meeting with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, evasively answered a question from journalists about the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev. According to the politician, on this day the intention of German Defense Ministers Boris Pistorius and Ukraine Rustem Umerov to cooperate more closely was confirmed.
