The Pets in Moscow project will get a mascot

A competition for the development of a mascot for the Pets in Moscow project has started in Moscow. According to Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, the work is being carried out until the end of July.
"Everyone can send up to three drawings with a description of the idea, the name of the invented hero and an explanation of how he is connected with the project. We will summarize the results in September," Sergunina said.
Anyone over the age of 15 can take part in the competition. The expert Commission will evaluate the submitted sketches with images of real or fictional animals, characters and objects on a given topic. The winner from among the finalists will be determined based on the results of voting on the Active Citizen portal.
The Pets in Moscow project is being implemented as part of the My District program of the Mayor of the capital. Over the past four years, modern dog walking areas have been created in the city. At the moment, there are almost 80 such spaces. Meetings with veterinarians and classes with dog handlers are held there, as well as large-scale events, such as the events of the "Friend, Rescuer, Defender" cycle.
The My District program in Moscow creates comfortable living conditions in all areas — from comfortable courtyards and parks to modern infrastructure facilities near the house.
