Zakharova did not believe Macron's words about the desire for peace in Ukraine

After reports of French serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), one cannot believe the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about his commitment to the peace process. This was announced on May 29 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
According to her, the main point of the article about the participation of the French military in the conflict in Ukraine, published on the Franceinfo website, is that peace talks allegedly have no meaning. The diplomat stressed that the media publication refers to a combat unit called the International Revenge, in which the French serve.
"The symbolism of the militant group has all the characteristic features of neo-Nazi revanchists: skulls, dark aesthetics and the slogan of the militants Memento Audere Semper (Latin. "Don't forget your courage") is the slogan, as we know, of the Italian fascist and one of Mussolini's allies, Gabriele d'Annunzio," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
The diplomat also pointed to the neo-Nazi ideology of this military formation.
"After such assurances from Paris, Macron's rants about commitment to the peace process are completely unbelievable," Zakharova concluded.
On April 23, Jean-Pierre Fabre-Bernadac, a former captain of the French gendarmerie, said that hundreds of soldiers in the country had demanded to disclose information about France's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. It was noted that an open letter with a corresponding demand was sent to the heads of both houses of the French Parliament.
