The F-16 fighters transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) did not turn the tide of the conflict in the country. This was reported on May 29 by The National Interest magazine.

"While Ukrainian officials hoped that the contingent of American-made F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets would give their forces an air advantage over Russia, it seems that these aircraft are mainly used for defensive purposes," the article says.

The publication writes that the fighters have mostly succeeded in destroying Russian drones. However, according to the magazine, they did not produce the expected results.
