Employers talked about the impact of social media on the choice of applicants

Among the surveyed employers, 65% said that they have no practice analyzing candidates' social networks. At the same time, 20% of respondents noted that their access to social media is a formality, and 14% admitted that their study affects the hiring process. This is stated in the results of a study of the services "Work.<url>" and "SberPodbor", which were reviewed by Izvestia on May 30.

When viewing a candidate's social media, 72% of employers pay attention to the overall impression. 66% of respondents are interested in texts and posts, 59% view photos. The manner of communication and behavior, including comments, is important for 52%, and the avatar and the title photo are of interest to 48%. Subscriptions to groups, channels, and publications are noted by 34% of companies, while only 28% are interested in a list of friends.

At the same time, in 10% of cases, the candidates' social networks were the reason for the refusal to hire managers. 14% refused to hire line staff, and 28% rejected candidates regardless of their position.

Earlier, on May 28, it was reported that among the surveyed employers, 33% are ready to raise an employee's salary if he focuses on his main job and refuses part-time work. In addition, 51% of respondents believe that part-time work reduces an employee's productivity, as he simultaneously distributes energy and attention between several tasks. This is stated in the results of a study by the Russian School of Management.
