The Mikhail Bulgakov motor ship, on which the mass poisoning of passengers occurred, will undergo sanitary treatment upon arrival in Moscow. This was announced on May 29 by the press service of the ship's owner company.

"At the end of the cruise, the Mikhail Bulgakov motor ship will be sent for additional complete sanitation, including disinfection of all rooms and ventilation systems of the ship," the shipowner's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that after the completion of the cleaning work, the ship will continue to operate on schedule. The company is cooperating with Rospotrebnadzor to determine the causes of rotavirus infection on board.

The mass poisoning on the ship Mikhail Bulgakov, which was en route from St. Petersburg to Moscow, became known on May 28. At that time, it was reported that employees of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Yaroslavl region immediately launched a sanitary and epidemiological investigation into cases of acute intestinal infection (AKI) in passengers. It was clarified that there are 400 passengers on board the ship.
