Sobyanin announced the launch of a new standard of treatment for children with severe pathologies

A new standard of treatment and continuous monitoring of children with severe pathologies is being launched in Moscow. This was stated by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, an important element of the new system will be the capital's first Center for Rapid Outpatient Surgery for Children, established at the Morozovskaya Hospital. They use "mini-invasive and low-trauma methods" during operations, which allow children to quickly return home after surgery.

In his Telegram channel, Sobyanin also said that on Thursday, May 29, six specialized treatment centers for children with chronic heart and gastrointestinal diseases are opening in three medical institutions (Morozovskaya and Filatov hospitals, as well as in the Z.A. Bashlyaeva Children's Hospital). Here, children receive the full range of care, from diagnosis to follow-up. They do not need to go to other medical institutions. "Specialists from the centers for the treatment of cardiac and gastroenterological diseases conduct follow—up of patients under 18 years of age, and cardiac surgery before surgery and for a year after it," Sobyanin said.

In recent years, about 50 medical institutions hosting children, including perinatal and neonatal centers, have been built and modernized in Moscow. The reconstruction of the capital's children's clinics will be completed this year.
