Music school No. 2 in Simferopol will open classes on Schmidt Street

Simferopol Children's Music School No. 2 named after Alemdar Karamanov will open classrooms in a building on Schmidt Street. The facility was nationalized and transferred to the administration of Simferopol, said the head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his social networks on Thursday, May 29.

The renovation of the premises has already been completed: builders have replaced doors and windows, heating and air conditioning, electricity, water supply and sewerage, renovated the facade and roof, and carried out landscaping of the surrounding area.

According to IA SevastopolMedia, the school has purchased the necessary equipment and furniture, equipped classrooms with musical instruments and office equipment.

The new building is designed for 140 people who will be trained in vocal, choral, theoretical and orchestral areas. The opening of a department of folk instruments is also planned.

The Mayor's office also plans to renovate the music school building on Zhukovsky Street. For these purposes, 400 million rubles are required, which will be mastered in stages over two years.

Earlier in May, it was reported that the Crimean State Council proposed to expand the borders of Simferopol and move departmental offices from the city center. The prospects for the development of the capital of the republic were discussed at a meeting of the construction committee.
