- The media reported the discovery of cannabis in a batch of Haribo candies in the Netherlands

Cannabis has been found in a batch of Happy Cola F!ZZ chewable candies from Haribo. This was reported by The Independent on May 29.
It is clarified that cannabis was found after members of a family in the Netherlands felt dizzy after eating sweets and reported it to the police.
"Samples were taken, and cannabis was found in them. We immediately contacted Haribo and they issued a warning," the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) said.
Representatives of Haribo said that the company recalled the entire batch of products in the Netherlands as a precaution. The cause of cannabis contamination has not yet been established, and research is ongoing.
On May 11, the Australian Federal Police reported that more than 1 ton of cocaine worth almost $400 million was seized by police from a ship moored off the east coast of New South Wales. On the shore, law enforcement officers detained three more people — men aged 28, 29 and 35. At the moment, all of them are charged with drug trafficking, organizing criminal activities and money laundering. They will remain in custody until July 15.
