The K2 Black Panther tanks purchased by Poland in South Korea participated for the first time in maneuvers to force water barriers. This was reported on May 29 by the Polish magazine Polska zbrojna.

"After initial theoretical training, during which the soldiers, in particular, learned about the design of the tank (K2 — Ed.), future drivers, gunners and commanders of K2 tanks went to practice at the Branevo training ground," the material says.

Units of the 20th Mechanized Brigade of the Polish Army participated in the exercises. The number of K2 tanks involved is not reported. According to the magazine, the tanks forced a water barrier along the bottom at a depth of about 4 m.

It is specified that the equipment will arrive in Poland from 2022 as part of the implementation agreement, which involves the supply of 180 K2 platforms in 2022-2025.

On May 26, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh announced that the country would hold the largest military exercises in recent years with the participation of other NATO countries. Thus, Kosinyak-Kamysh answered the question about Poland's possible reaction to the Zapad-2025 joint exercises between Russia and Belarus, which will be held in mid-September.
