Insurers have calculated the share of accidents with tourists in Russia


Tourist accidents account for about 22% of the total number of CTP accidents, and tourists from Moscow are most often involved in accidents. Analysts of the VSK Insurance House company told Izvestia about this on May 29.
The largest number of accidents involving tourists is recorded in Moscow (6.9%), Novosibirsk Region (6%), Krasnodar Territory (including Sochi) (5.4%), Moscow Region (4.5%), St. Petersburg (3.8%), Omsk (3.8%) and Bashkortostan (3.7%).
According to analysts, among the most popular tourist locations, the cities of the Stavropol Territory (Mineralnye Vody, Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Arkhyz and others) are the safest for road travelers, where 1% of all accidents were recorded, as well as Tula (0.9%) and Kaliningrad (no more than 0.3% of accidents involving tourists).
Vacationers from Moscow (47%) are most often involved in accidents while traveling around the country, followed by Krasnodar residents (3%), residents of the Stavropol Territory (2.8%) and the Chelyabinsk Region (2.7%).
According to a survey conducted by Avtodom dealer holding among the company's customers, the most common car breakdowns during travel are wheel damage (38% of respondents), brake problems (31%), engine overheating (23%) and chipped windows and mirrors (18%).
Russians are increasingly choosing autotourism because it makes it possible to plan a route themselves (41%), allows them to move between different locations at a convenient time and at a comfortable pace (25%), and also provides budget savings compared to other types of trips (14%).
On May 20, insurance company analysts revealed that Capricorns and Lions are the most dangerous drivers. Gemini should also be feared among female motorists, and Aries among men.
