In the Kemerovo region, a 12-year-old girl died after choking on a bouncing ball. This was announced on May 29 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the region.

The incident occurred in the urban-type settlement of Promyshlennaya. It is specified that the child was at home with his grandmother. Hearing a noise in the bathroom, the woman went in there and saw the girl gasping for breath. She had a bouncing ball in her mouth. As a result, the minor died of asphyxia before help arrived.

"Currently, investigators are carrying out a set of verification measures aimed at establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident," the Telegram channel said.

On May 13, a boy born in 2017 was hospitalized in St. Petersburg after he swallowed a battery. It was noted that the child was taken to the children's city hospital. Doctors diagnosed the patient with a foreign body in the esophagus. In an hour and a half for this, the victim swallowed the battery due to the oversight of his parents.
