Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has reached the third round of Roland Garros


Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva beat American Ashlyn Krueger and made it to the third round of the French Open Roland Garros, the tournament takes place on May 29 on the clay courts of Paris.
The meeting of the tennis players lasted 1 hour and 13 minutes. Andreeva, seeded at number six, beat her opponent with a score of 6:3, 6:4, Sport-Express indicated.
In the third round of the Grand Slam tournament, the Russian will face the winner of the match between Joanna Garland (Taiwan) and Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan (32nd seed).
Prior to that, on May 27, Russian Erica Andreeva lost to British Sonai Kartal in the first round of the French Open Tennis Championship with a score of 6:0, 6:2. Both athletes performed without a seeding number. In previous Grand Slam tournaments, Andreeva did not go beyond the second round.
The tournament will end on June 8th. The current winner of Roland Garros is Polish tennis player Iga Schwentek.
