The political scientist named Musk's new role after leaving the civil service

American billionaire Elon Musk may act as an unofficial adviser to US President Donald Trump after he leaves the post of head of the Department of Efficiency (DOGE) of the US government. On May 29, American political scientist Malek Dudakov told Izvestia.
"We need to understand that the official termination of Musk's work as a civil servant does not mean that he is leaving American politics. His influence in the Trump team obviously remains. He will act as an unofficial adviser to Trump. It's just that Musk will now devote more time to his business, Tesla and SpaceX," he said.
The political scientist also recalled that DOGE will continue to exist and will be dissolved in the summer of 2026.
Dudakov also admitted that Musk, most likely, will not continue to create such a large number of information guides.
In addition, the expert called the DOGE agency the most ambitious program of bureaucratic reform in Washington in recent decades.
On May 29, Musk announced that his term of office as a special civil servant was coming to an end. He thanked the US president for the "opportunity to reduce wasteful spending" by the government. Musk also stressed that the DOGE mission will only strengthen over time.
The Washington Post (WP) newspaper reported that after Musk's retirement from public service, he will focus on his companies Tesla and SpaceX.
