In Yelets, Lipetsk region, the investigation of a criminal case against a 17-year-old girl who is accused of murdering her own grandmother has been completed. She faces up to 15 years in prison.

According to GOROD48, with reference to the press service of the SU TFR in the region, the investigation found that on September 14, 2024, a 17-year-old Yelchanka, intoxicated, quarreled with her grandmother and inflicted multiple stab wounds on her. A 74-year-old woman died from them. The girl told her father about the incident, who in turn informed law enforcement agencies.

The suspect confessed her guilt and repented of what she had done. She explained her action by saying that she could not stand the constant criticism.

The investigators established the conditions and circumstances that contributed to the commission of the crime by the teenager. The accused is raised in a single-parent family and has previously come to the attention of law enforcement officers. A submission has been submitted to the officials of the prevention system.
