- Sobyanin approved a plan for the development of navigation in the capital's urban transport

More than 90 Moscow metro stations will be equipped with digital navigation by 2030. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.
The approved plan for the development of navigation in urban transport provides for the development of digital navigation and the introduction of uniform standards in all urban transport.
"A unique geographical scheme has been created for the launch of full movement along the BKL. During the grand opening of the line, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed it live. It displays not only stations, but also highways, landmarks, and geographical features. This allows us to assess the scale of the development of Moscow's transport infrastructure, which unites the city and the region. Since 2022, the principles of building a metro scheme have been applied in other types of urban transport, where the main focus is always on the color of the route. Passengers began to navigate even better and reduce travel time," said the mayor of the capital.
Since last year, Moscow has launched a large-scale implementation of digital navigation in transport. The first were the Marina Grove BKL station and terminal No. 1 of the Nizhny Novgorod city railway station. By 2030, it is planned to equip more than 90 metro stations with digital navigation, most of them will be on the BKL. The innovations will also affect the Troitskaya, Rublyovo—Arkhangelskaya and Biryulevskaya lines under construction. In total, over 3.4 thousand digital elements will appear in the subway. All navigation, from the door to the floor, will be performed according to the same standards common to urban transport.
