In principle, Russia does not abandon cooperation at the regional level, including with states whose governments pursue unfriendly policies. This was announced on May 29 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to him, Moscow does not exclude dialogue with foreign partners, despite the current political situation.

"As the president [of Russia Vladimir Putin] says, there are no unfriendly nations for us. And if their governments come to their senses and admit to everyone the obvious failure of their aggressive, revanchist course towards Russia, let them apply. We will see what they came up with and we will determine our reaction," the minister said.

He stressed that at the same time, Russia will take into account all the experience accumulated over the past decades, including "the results of the test of contractual capacity."

Lavrov added that unlike Western countries, Moscow does not cancel anyone and is always ready to work with everyone "who demonstrates mutual respect."

On May 24, Lavrov said that Western countries perceive the situation with the strengthening of multipolarity ambiguously. According to him, Russia is convinced that the formation of a multipolar world is a "natural process."
