Restrictions on forest visits have been in effect in the Moscow Region since Thursday, May 29. They will last until June 3. The regime was introduced against the background of fire hazard class IV in all regional forest districts.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the regional forestry committee, additional fire safety requirements apply during this period.

In particular, it is forbidden to light bonfires in forests, to enter the forest by vehicles. The situation in the forest background will be monitored by employees of the relevant authorities, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region and forest protection specialists. It is planned to monitor the stay of citizens in the forests using UAVs, aviation, camera traps, and video surveillance cameras. Detection systems based on mobile operator data will also be involved.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Situation Center, Yuri Varakin, said that the heat in Moscow would subside on Friday, May 30. The days will be very warm until Saturday. However, the beginning of June will not please the residents of the capital with such abnormally high temperatures. Already on the night of May 31, an atmospheric front will approach, which will bring light rains. On June 1 and 2, temperatures are forecast to be higher than normal, but only by 4-5 degrees, and not by 7, as it is now.
