An expanded business program has been published on the official website of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 18 to 21 in St. Petersburg. This year, the SPIEF focuses on finding common guidelines in the context of global turbulence, rethinking cooperation models and shaping the foundations of sustainable development.

The main theme of the forum, "Shared values are the foundation for growth in a multipolar world," highlights the desire for balanced and inclusive development, where respect for cultural diversity, equality and mutual interest become the basis for building new economic ties. Special attention is paid to strengthening economic sovereignty, developing national financial systems and countering sanctions pressure.

"The modern world is undergoing a large-scale transformation: not only the geopolitical map is changing, but also the geo-economic one, even the very structure of economic relations, social ties in individual countries are changing, interstate unions and associations are reassembling. Today, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is not just a platform for discussing ongoing changes, but has long been a place for developing solutions that can respond to rapidly changing external circumstances. This is a space where new concepts and practices are being formed that can determine the future of both our country and the world. It is important not only to record these changes, but also to manage them, setting the right direction, while remaining in close cooperation with our friends — countries and peoples who advocate for a just world and equal conditions of development for all," emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.

The 2025 business program will bring together more than 150 sessions covering a wide range of topics, from global economic trends and digital transformation to sustainable development, technological leadership, and strengthening humanitarian ties. In 2025, the program is structured around five key tracks:

- "World Economy: a new platform for global growth" — strengthening a multipolar world, expanding trade relations with friendly countries and reforming global economic institutions;

- "The Russian Economy: a new quality of growth" — focuses on economic diversification, support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the development of national financial instruments such as the digital ruble;

- "Man in the New World" — social transformations, human capital development, education and healthcare, including digitalization of social services;

"Environment for Life" focuses on the environmental agenda, sustainable development, green energy and climate initiatives, which are actively discussed in the context of global challenges.

- "Technologies: Striving for leadership" — discussion of breakthrough technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing and biotechnology, as well as issues of import substitution and creation of national technological ecosystems.

Among the central events of the forum are the SCO, BRICS, EAEU business forums, the SME Forum, the Creative Industries Forum, the Drug Safety Forum, the Business G20 Forum, as well as the General Assembly of the Organization of Information Agencies of Asia and the Pacific (OANA). The Russian media is actively discussing the strengthening of the role of BRICS and the SCO in shaping the new economic order, which will be one of the key topics of the forum.

This year, special attention is paid to international cooperation. The forum will include 19 business dialogues on the prospects of Russia's economic relations with foreign partners. Among them are Russia — Africa, Russia — Bahrain, Russia — Brazil, Russia — Vietnam, Russia — EU, Russia — India, Russia — Indonesia, Russia — Iran, Russia—Kazakhstan, Russia — Kyrgyzstan, Russia — China, Russia — Latin America, Russia — Mongolia, Russia — UAE, Russia — Oman, Russia — Thailand, Russia — Uzbekistan, Russia — South Africa, EAEU — ASEAN.

The dialogues will focus on strengthening trade and economic ties, creating new logistics routes and developing alternative payment systems.

An important part of the program will be working with a youth audience. The forum will host the international youth economic forum "Day of the Future", which will be partnered by the international network Friends for Leadership, accredited by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The forum will bring together young leaders, entrepreneurs and experts from more than 100 countries around the world. The organization was created by the Roscongress Foundation following the results of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017. The Russian media emphasizes the importance of involving young people in global economic processes, which makes this forum a key event for the formation of a new generation of leaders.
