More than 4.2 km of heating networks will be renewed in Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, in the Vasileostrovsky district, more than 4,200 meters of heating networks will be renovated on line 6-7 from Bolshoy Prospekt to the Smolenka River embankment. The work will be carried out by JSC Teploset St. Petersburg.

According to the 78 TV channel, with reference to Smolny's press service, over the past 10 years, more than 500 incidents have occurred at this site due to defects.

Specialists will have to replace worn-out networks with new pipes in polyurethane foam insulation. The pipes will be equipped with an operational remote control system to continuously monitor the condition of the thermal insulation layer.

Specialists have already begun the construction of a temporary network on Andreevsky Boulevard. This is the first stage of reconstruction. In order to save pedestrian traffic, an additional through passage was organized at the facility. In addition, the pedestrian zone on the fourth side was expanded, passage for special services vehicles and access for garbage collection were provided.

After the reconstruction, the reliability of heat supply to 157 buildings, including five children's and eight medical institutions, will increase.

The work is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2026. About 75 km of pipelines are to be replaced on Vasilyevsky Island in the next five years.

In mid-May, it was reported that the reconstruction of the heating main in the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg had begun. The work will be carried out by specialists of TEK SPb. Utilities will have to upgrade more than 2.5 thousand meters of heating networks with a diameter of 50-600 mm along Yesenin Street from Lunacharsky Avenue to Siqueiros Street with the commissioning of 32 Shuvalovo — Ozerki block.
