Dealers have set the dates for the start of sales of the new Moskvich model


The debut of the Moskvich 8 crossover in the Russian market is expected no earlier than July. This was reported on May 29 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing sources in the dealer community. The Moscow automobile plant could not clarify the timing of the model's appearance in the showrooms.
The fact that the assembly of Moskvich 8 cars is already underway was reported by Izvestia in mid-May. The production of crossovers and ready-made cars was captured by a photojournalist from Izvestia during a visit to the capital's enterprise.
The Moskvich 8 will become the fourth model of the revived brand, the announcement of the crossover's entry into the market took place a year ago, in April 2024. Initially, production and sales launch were planned before the end of last year, but the debut was postponed without specifying the reasons.
The length of the Moskvich 8 is 4824 mm with a wheelbase of 2830 mm. The car received a GDI gasoline engine (174 hp) with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The list of equipment includes a digital dashboard with a 12.3-inch display, wireless phone charging, an all-round camera system, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The official dates for the start of sales and the price of the model were not announced.
On April 29, Moskvich announced that the plant had produced several hundred Moskvich 5 crossovers. The compact crossover can be put into mass production. The cars have been added to Moskvich's corporate fleet, where they are being tested by engineers and testers in real conditions.
