Experts spoke about the growing interest of Russians in river cruises


In April-May, Internet traffic on resources for booking river cruises increased by 12% compared to the same period last year, analysts from Megafon, Doninturflot and Cruise.ru .
According to experts, the growing dynamics on booking sites has been observed since the middle of spring. Last year, users actively chose cruises during the summer months, that is, directly during the high season of shipping.
Among the top preferences of tourists are routes between Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as cruises along the Volga with calls at Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov and others.
"The capital of the country is expected to lead in the ranking of departure cities, and water lovers arrive most often in St. Petersburg, Kazan and Astrakhan," the analysts noted.
In the eastern part of Russia, tourists mostly book cruises along the Yenisei starting in Krasnoyarsk and river routes along the Ob River departing from Novosibirsk.
One of the trends of this season is cruises with stops in small towns, towns, villages and villages.
In 40% of cases, tourists choose cruises lasting four to six days, in 20% - for seven to eight. However, this year there is also a growing demand for short tours lasting three days and two nights.
In addition to Muscovites and Petersburgers, residents of Nizhny Novgorod, Samara regions and Tatarstan are most often interested in cruises. Saratov, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Sverdlovsk regions and Krasnodar Territory are also in the top ten. At the same time, Chukotka, Chuvashia, Chechnya, Tambov Region and Ingushetia showed the most active year-on-year growth.
Among foreign tourists, the most attention to river tours in Russia is shown by guests from Turkey, Belarus, China, Egypt and Armenia.
