The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed Andrey Yefremov, head of the Investigative Committee for the Murmansk Region, to check information about the closure of two departments in the Pechenga Central District Hospital in Nikel. Investigators must make sure that the rights of local residents to quality medical care are not violated there.

The inspection was organized after the appeal of the local deputy Valentina Tadeeva. The appeal was also sent to the regional prosecutor's office.

The deputy said that the children's department and the intensive care unit were closed in the CRH for the summer period, as the administration said, due to the lack of doctors. The medical staff went on vacation, but there is no replacement. The nearest intensive care unit is located in Zapolyarnoye, writes the Bi-port news agency.

The agency recalls that as part of the reorganization, it was decided to annex eight central district hospitals to the Bayandin Murmansk Regional Clinical Hospital. We are talking about Monchegorsk, Apatitsko-Kirovskaya, Kandalaksha, Lovozerskaya, Olenegorskaya, Pechenga, Kola and Lovozersk hospitals, as well as the central hospital of Severomorsk.

In April, it was reported that the central office of the TFR had requested a report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of the beating of Murmansk residents. A man beat up two pensioners and broke into someone else's apartment. A video of a man attacking pensioners appeared on social networks. He beat up elderly people and then entered the woman's apartment. She filmed his actions on video. A tattoo with Nazi symbols was noticed on the attacker's body.
