- A military court has sentenced agents of the special services of Ukraine to 19 and 25 years in prison.

The Second Western District Military Court sentenced Oleg Zabolotny and Maxim Volga, agents of the special services of Ukraine, to 25 and 19 years in prison. This was announced on May 29 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.
According to the agency, the activities of agents of the Ukrainian special services were stopped in August 2023. It was established that in 2022, Zabolotny, while in the Kharkiv region, completed a course of sabotage and reconnaissance training under the supervision of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, after which he was sent to the Russian Federation to settle. In May 2023, he collected and transmitted data on military installations and military personnel at the Baltimore airfield in Voronezh via Telegram and Signal.
Volga, in turn, established confidential cooperation with a representative of the Ukrainian special services through Telegram in January 2023. In August, on the instructions of his supervisor, he seized firearms with ammunition, over 10 kg of explosives and electric detonators from a cache in the Smolensk region. After that, he delivered the funds to Voronezh. As a result, he was detained.
It is noted that using the transferred items, Zabolotny independently manufactured an explosive device. He was going to plant explosives in the entrance of an apartment building in order to eliminate a high-ranking military officer of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He was detained while driving to the crime planning site.
"In relation to M.A. Volga and O.S. Zabolotny, the investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Voronezh Region has investigated and sent criminal cases to the court," the FSB Central Control Center said in a statement.
The verdict has not yet entered into force. Both defendants will spend the first four years in prison, and will subsequently serve their sentences in a high-security colony. In addition, Zabolotny was fined 1 million rubles, and Volga - 900 thousand rubles.
On the morning of May 29, the Central Control Center of the FSB of Russia reported the arrest on suspicion of espionage of a Ukrainian who transmitted information about the location of Russian troops to Kiev, he was detained in the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR). It was clarified that he was collecting and transmitting information about the deployment of the Russian Armed Forces to a representative of Ukrainian intelligence.
