The White House criticized the court's decision on Trump's duties

The US administration has expressed disagreement with the ruling of the Federal Court for International Trade, which blocked the implementation of the decision of the American leader Donald Trump on the introduction of new import duties. This was reported on May 29 by The Hill newspaper, citing a statement from the White House.
Administration spokesman Kush Desai said the U.S. economy is facing a "historic and persistent trade deficit," which authorities are treating as an emergency. According to him, "it is not for judges, who are not elected, to decide how to deal with the emergency situation in the country."
The White House also stressed that they intend to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.
Earlier that day, the US federal court ruled to block Trump's imposition of trade duties, arguing it was an abuse of authority. Trump was guided by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The court found that Trump had exceeded the powers vested in the president by the IEEPA.
