A Ukrainian who transmitted information about the location of Russian troops to Kiev has been detained in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) on suspicion of espionage. This was reported on May 29 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

According to the agency, a resident of the Kremen district of the LPR collected and transmitted via Telegram data on the deployment of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) to a representative of Ukrainian intelligence. The suspect is currently in custody.

A criminal case was opened against the defendant under Article 276 "Espionage". He was taken into custody.

On May 19, employees of the Department of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia in the Kherson region stopped the activities of a Ukrainian citizen who was transmitting information about the location of the Russian Armed Forces to the Ukrainian special services and organizing explosives caches. The court sentenced the woman to 12 years in prison to be served in a general regime penal colony in accordance with Articles 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage"), paragraphs "a", "b", part 3 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Illegal possession of explosives and explosive devices").
